My Goodreads Review of “Savvy Book Marketing Secrets”

I’ve just posted a review of Dana Lynn Smith’s “Savvy Book Marketing Secrets” on Goodreads. Read it here.

Thanks!

In the Wake of the Newtown Shootings

“Barring some seismic realignment in this country, the gun control debate is all but settled—and (their) side won. The occasional horrific civilian massacre is just the price the rest of us have to pay. Over and over again, apparently.” –Tom Tomorrow in his comic strip This Modern World in 2011 after the shootings in Tucson.

In the Wake of the Aurora Shootings (and Others)

I found this at work and couldn’t resist. It is not meant to ignite a full-scale gun-control, no gun-control debate. I’ll post sensible, reasoned comments only, please.

Ray Bradbury Passes Away at Age 91

His quote: Don’t think. Thinking is the enemy of creativity. It’s self-conscious, and anything self-conscious is lousy. You can’t try to do things. You simply must do things.

Rest in peace, Mr. B.

Beginnings Are Always Difficult

Being a newbie to WordPress, please bear with me.  I’ve already changed my theme once in the twenty minutes I’ve owned it.

I tend to be a tinkerer in most areas in my life.  That’s not to say that I’m unsatisfied, not in all things anyway. If nothing ever changes, how do we know what really works?

In this blog, you’ll (eventually) find all kinds of stuff, from writing tips to short-short fiction to random samples of my long fiction to the occasional poem (cringe).  You might even catch me railing against the world.

Jump in, with questions or comments or criticisms.  And welcome!
